President's Message

Hello friends,

Hope you all had a wonderful Halloween and are enjoying the start of the holiday season with your colleagues, friends and family.

It was great to strengthen existing relationships and form new ones with many CCIM’s from across the country in Chicago at the Annual Governance meetings last month. It is with great pleasure that I can introduce our two latest CCIM designees, who passed their exams this past month in Chicago: Please join me in congratulating Brooke Fornes, CCIM and Robert Hendricks, CCIM! It was an honor to be able to pin them as new CCIM’s.

Region 7 Chapters celebrated the newly pinned designees at Harry Caray’s Italian Steakhouse. The level of commitment of our Ohio Board Members continues to amaze me. I would like to specifically recognize Leslie Biskner, CCIM who has tirelessly served the Ohio Chapter for years now. Her role within CCIM continues to expand nationally and in 2023, Leslie will become the Regional Vice President of Region 7. Congratulations Leslie!

Regarding upcoming events, the Ohio Chapter is very excited to have Michael Sikora of Sikora Law present “Core Law for Commercial Real Estate Professionals” on Thursday, November 10^th at the Columbus Board of Realtors. Don’t miss this opportunity to get the latest developments in commercial real estate law from one of the best in the business, along with the opportunity for three (3) hours of continuing education.

The 2022 Annual Governance Meeting was held October 12-16 at the Sheraton Grand Chicago Riverwalk. Several CCIM Ohio members were in attandence and the chapter was pleased to be a bronze sponsor at the at the 2023 Presidential Inaugural Celebration.
